Q : What are the eligibility requirements?
A: The Lewis Scholarship is open to citizens of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas who have obtained a high school diploma from a Bahamian secondary school; have a demonstrated financial need; and have successfully been admitted to University of Central Florida.


Q : How do I apply for the Lewis Scholarship?

Q : Is there a deadline to apply for the Lewis Scholarship?
A : Like University of Central Florida, the scholarship has a rolling deadline. Persons can apply each UCF semester. If attending in the fall, apply by March 1; if attending in the spring, apply by September 1; and if attending in Summer, apply by January 1.


Q : Is the Lewis Scholarship applicable to transfer students?
A : Preference is given to first generation freshman students. However, transfer students may be considered on a case-by-case basis.


Q : Is the Lewis Scholarship applicable to current UCF students?
A : Yes, the scholarship is available to all Bahamian student who demonstrate financial need. 


Q : Is the Lewis Scholarship funding available for other universities?
A : No, the scholarship is specific to University of Central Florida.


Q : Is the Lewis Scholarship funding available for graduate studies?
