The Lewis Scholarship is offered to students at the University of Central Florida in Orlando and includes tuition, room and board, books, other education expenses and is renewable up to eight semesters based on good academic standing. 

Open to citizens of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas who have:

  •   Obtained a high school diploma from a Bahamian secondary school

  • A demonstrated financial need

  • Successfully been admitted to University of Central Florida

How To Apply

  1. Contact Lewis Foundation via email lewis.scholarship@tavistock.com.

  2. Apply to the University of Central Florida through its admission portal. Here is the link for your convenience. Please notify the Lewis Scholarship of your complete submission.

    *Note that an application is accepted as complete once UCF receives all supporting documents, i.e. SAT/ACT scores, High School Transcript, BGCSE results, Credit Evaluation if applicable. Successfully been admitted to University of Central Florida.

  3. For students transferring from another institution, you can find application details here.

  4. Once successfully admitted to UCF, share your admission communication with the Lewis Scholarship office via email.  The UCF Global committee will review all application submissions and make award decisions.

Graduate Scholarships

  • To be eligible to apply for “The Lewis Foundation Graduate Scholarship”, the following criteria must be met:

    • Applicants must be citizens coming from the Bahamas and must have graduated from a high school located in the Bahamas.

    • Applicants must have an earned undergraduate degree and be admitted to a graduate degreeseeking program.

    • Applicants must demonstrate financial need through supporting documentation.

    • Applicants must demonstrate and maintain good academic standing. (3.0 GPA). » Awarded students must be enrolled full-time (9 credits Graduate) in a master’s or doctoral degree program. » Awarded students must have a current and valid immigration status.

    • Professional MS in Management/Human Resource

    • Professional MS in Real Estate

    • Health Administration (MHA) – Executive Health Services Administration

    • Masters in Research Administration (MRA)
